The Spain international has been remarkable since joining the Blues in the summer of 2016.
Alonso, 26, helped Chelsea win the Premier League title in his first season at Stamford Bridge last time out.
The left-back has impressed again under Antonio Conte this season in the Italian’s 3-5-2 formation.
And according to Spanish transfer outlet Don Balon, Alonso is attracting interest from Real.
They say Real boss Zidane has told club president Florentino Perez to sign the Chelsea defender.
Zidane is said to be frustrated with Marcelo and the Frenchman sees Alonso as a perfect replacement.
Real were held to a 0-0 draw against Atletico Madrid last night in La Liga.
The point leaves the Spanish giants 10 points behind their rivals Barcelona after just 12 games.
Lionel Messi and co have won 11 and drawn one of their opening clashes in La Liga, while conceding just four goals.
Real are back in action on Tuesday night when Zidane’s men travel to Cyprus to face APOEL in the Champions League group stages.
