Real Madrid are reaching the end of their tether with Gareth Bale.
The Welshman made a huge impact in the Spanish capital after his £85m arrival, with the team winning the Champions League in 2 of the 3 full seasons since he joined.
Now in his fourth however, the injuries are beginning to catch up with him. He’s just picked up a calf knock while already out injured, and as one Twitter wag pointed out, only Bale could get injured while injured.
Madrid have a host of young stars like Marco Asensio coming through at the moment and will likely be happy to listen to offers for Bale this summer. But Chelsea must resist, for several reasons.
While Bale is a quality player and would be a huge name for the club to sign, his injury problems just make him too unreliable to build a team around. Even a cut price Bale won’t be worth the trouble for the manager as they endless try to plan around his constant injuries.
