Talk about a shock transfer, this stacks right up there with the highest of them. Chelsea’s said to be interesting in signing English Signing, Andy Carroll. I would have never thought I’d be writing this article in a million years – even after I take leave from this earth of stranger things.
There really is only few reasons why Chelsea would want the likes of Andy Carroll and those reasons seem enough to understand the transfer by Conte.
However, I’m still amazed by the news and feel there are better strikers out there. Andy Carroll’s previous move to Liverpool (A high-profile club), didn’t go as plan and was way out of his depth. The difference between Liverpool and Chelsea; Liverpool style of play was not a 100% match for the large Englishman.

Chelsea, have a manager who enjoys a robust forward with range and height. Since making a switch from Anfield to the Olympic Stadium – Carroll has been the key forward and when injured, is notably missed by his team and manager.
Nobody can deny Carroll’s deadly left foot, and aerial threat in the box. Joining Conte’s side would add to a shallow frontline. Morata, has been off the pace of recent and could use the backup.
Carroll’s eligible to play in all of Chelsea’s competitions – excluding the Carabao Cup. Acting as back in the Premier League and the Champions League, makes him senseable business. And yes, I repeat … I do not think he’s the best option.
Latest news on the rumour of Andy Carroll to Chelsea:
It is said by respected news outlets, including The Guardian, that the two clubs, West Ham and Chelsea, have formally met to discuss the transfer of Andy Carroll.
At first just thought to be papertalk – has certainly changed into shocking, and real transfer news. Chelsea has seen different business and have spent a little less on players than usual. Players like, Ross Barkley and Danny Drinkwater, came in at low prices, as well as, squad players with the potential to break into the first team as a regular
With the two clubs in discussion and West Ham looking for funds to try getting other players in – the transfer could be completed soon.
The only people not reacting well to the news of Carroll, is the Blues’ supporters. If they really stand behind their manager – they should know, they had a World- Class striker, who they couldn’t get behind and lost him.
Now they sit way off the top – with no way back to defending their title. Also, if they trust in Conte, they should be getting behind any transfer the manager wants in at the club during his reign. That, or Chelsea could risk losing Antonio Conte on a whole.
Some fans reactions to the news of Andy Carroll:
What must Tammy Abraham be thinking. Playing well in a terrible Swansea team, yet instead of giving him a chance Chelsea would rather spend £30m on 29yr old, always injured Andy Carroll who hasn't scored 10 goals in a season since 2010.— Sibs (@SibsMUFC) January 16, 2018
