Brazilian international defender, David Luiz has opened up on his situation at Chelsea football club after he got involved in a heated exchange with his boss-Antonio Conte.
The embattled defender was dropped by Conte after the London club lost 3-0 to AS Roma during the UEFA Champions league return fixture back in November.
Hence, the Chelsea defender who is undoubtedly a fan favourite has come out to debunk the rumour that he is at nearing a January exit from the London club even though he admits that in football, ”nothing is impossible”
Previous reports established that the Brazilian who is spending his second stint as a Chelsea player after re-joining the club during the 2016/2017 summer questioned the Italian’s tactical decision.
In the aftermath, the former Benfica and PSG player has repeatedly been sidelined to injury according to the claims of his club manager- Antonio Conte even though reports gathered suggests otherwise.
The ‘supposedly’ injured defender also avoided questions regarding the truth about his injury situation, he subtly stated that ”the club manager(Antonio Conte) has answered the question posed and further stated that he is not in the position to reveal more about his injury situation”
Asked if he is happy to remain at the club, he declared ”I will remain here (at Chelsea) as long as the club wants me to stay”
Nevertherless, as the winter transfer market beckons, it is a growing possibility that the Brazilian could be exiting the SW9 London side as it appears that he has totally fallen out of favour with ‘La Machetti’.
Besides, with Andreas Christensen proving his defensive class and discipine, it is very much certain that David Luiz stay at the club is nearing the second-end.
David Luiz won the Premier League title with the Blues last season, having won the FA Cup, UEFA Champions League and the Europa League titles with Chelsea during his first stint at the football club.
